DAY 1 UDAIPUR TO KUMBALGARH 2( ½ hrs .Approx)
Today we drive from Udaipur to Kumbalgarh…after arrival , we straightaway go to the hotel & check-in. in the evening at around 4, we go and see the Majestic Kumbalgarh Fort. Claimed to be the largest fortification in the world only second to The Great Wall Of China. After a couple of hours at the fort we return back to our Hotel . Dinner & overnight at hotel.
DAY2 KUMBHALGARH-GHANERAO-TREK-16.Kms APPROX
We start our first trek from Kumbalgarh….its a downhill trek which passes through a good forest cover, if lucky enough we might spot some antelopes & wild boars hogs)…we can also see some deer in a protected enclosure. But we are sure to spot a good variety of various bird species. We will also pass through the lone Tribal Village in the sanctuary area it's a village of The Bhil Tribe).
We stop at a small water reservoir famously called The Crocodile Lake or Thandi Beri in local language. As the name suggests, we try & get lucky to spot a couple of crocodiles sunbathing on the reservoir wall. We continue the last leg of our trek to our finishing point, The Muchala Mahavir Jain Temple where we see a lot of black faced Monkeys The Languor) loitering around…we than check-in to our Hotel Bagho-Ka-Bagh adjacent to the temple.
This hotel was A hunting Lodge of the erstwhile nobles of this area. Lunch at the Hotel. After a little layoff, we take a stroll in the nearby Garasiya Tribal Hamlets( another group of tribals) where we have our evening tea & cookies at a carefully chosen spot. Dinner & Overnight at Hotel.
DAY3-GHANERAO-SUMERTREK-18kmsAPPROX (Hiking Most Plain Terrain)
We start our long trek or hike after an early breakfast at about 6:30 a.m. we will pass through small village called Bhop-ji –Ka Guda. Here if we are lucky enough, we might visit a village school on the way. we than reach a big water reservoir called The Seli Dam where we down our Anchors for a
short lunch stop. We continue our walk to a junction called Desuri.. it is here that one can choose to continue the walk up till Sumer or choose to end the walk here at Desuri…from either place, you’ll drive to your next destination.
